Manufactured in 1941, a nice original example of the first series Match Target. This pistol features a 6-5/8" heavy barrel with rear fully adjustable notch sight and adjustable front blade. Top of the barrel is stamped with the two-line Colt address. Blued finish with white highlighted stampings. Left side of the barrel is stamped "MATCH TARGET" with the iconic "bullseye" and "THE WOODSMAN". Left side of the slide is stamped "COLT / AUTOMATIC / CAL. 22 LONG RIFLE" with the Rampant Colt. Trigger guard is stamped with the VP proof mark and letter "T". Fitted with original Colt factory one-piece walnut wrap-around Elephant Ear grips with silver tone Colt medallions. Includes original factory 10-round magazine, stamped on the base "COLT WOODSMAN / CAL 22 LR / MATCH TARGET MOD". Hard to find all original pistol! CALIBER: 22LR. S/N: MT11731. FFL STATUS: Curio & Relic.
CONDITION
Retains 80% original finish with light wear areas on the barrel sides and left side of the slide. Grips show a few light dings but no cracks. Nice bore and good mechanics.
