Manufactured in 1954, an early American made four digit Weatherby. Features a 24" blued sightless barrel stamped "CHROME BORE". FN Supreme Mauser action stamped Weatherby South Gate, Calif, safety lever has been removed. Action is fitted with a factory Weatherby Imperial 4x81 scope. Standard Mauser left side bolt release. Stock is a single piece right hand Monte Carlo walnut with white lined forearm tip, and slightly exaggerated pistol grip. Hand-checkered, 18 LPI forearm and pistol grip. Bottom of pistol grip is rosewood with a lighter rosewood diamond inlay. butt stock fitted with a factory "Weatherby's Tomorrows Rifle Today" ventilated recoil pad. Equipped with swivel rings and an adjustable military style leather sling. LOP: 13-1/4". CALIBER: 300 WBY MAG. S/N: 2681. FFL STATUS: Curio & Relic.
CONDITION
Retains 90% original finish with most notable wear at the muzzle. Stock appears to have been re-stained in the Rosewood tone, and does show some dings and scuffs most notable around the cheekpiece. Great bore and good mechanics. Optics are clear.
