1986 Weatherby Mark V Deluxe .378 WBY MAG Bolt Action Rifle with Factory Scope
Custom made for Weatherby in Japan in 1986. Features a 26" blued sightless tapered barrel. Blued receiver equipped with a factory Weatherby 3X-9x40 scope mounted on Buehler scope rings. Blued hinged floorplate has custom engraved floral border surrounding script initials "VMK". Two position safety with jeweled bolt and follower and knurled bolt knob. Heavy grain factory Weatherby walnut Monte Carlo style stock with contrasting dark walnut forearm tip and pistol grip cap. Pistol grip features a white diamond inlay. Skip-line hand checkering with fleur-de-lis border. Bottom of foregrip and both sides of the receiver feature a diamond tri-wood inlay consisting of ebony, rosewood and birch. Bottom of the forearm inlay features a gold engraved inlaid vanity plate with the initials "VMK". Right side of the stock has a larger scale matching diamond tri-wood inlay. Factory sling studs. Fitted with a Weatherby brown ventilated recoil pad. LOP: 13-1/2". CALIBER: 378 WBY MAG. S/N: H142049. FFL STATUS: Modern.
CONDITION
Retains 95% finish showing very light handling marks on the barrel. Stock appears to be 90% condition showing light dings and scratches on the top rear of the cheekpiece, small area to the front of the pistol grip, top right of the trigger and around the tang. Great bore and mechanics.
