1) GERMAN CAVALRY DRESS SABER WITH WWII EAGLE ADDED. Overall length: 38 1/2". Blade length: 30 3/4". Single fullered blade is unmarked. Gilded brass hilt w/ crossed sabers on 1 languet & an applied WWII NSKOV style eagle w/ Party symbol on the other languet. Knuckle bow & backstrap have foliate & geometric decoration. Class lion head pommel w/ red eyes. Composite grip w/ wire wrap. Black enameled scabbard. CONDITION: blade has substantial original factory polish. Hilt retains 90%+ of original gilding. Grip shows light wear. Scabbard has a few slight bends & appears to have been repainted, possibly in period. (02-15112/BF). 2) PRE WWII ARTILLERY OFFICER'S SWORD. Overall length: 38 1/2". Blade length: 32 3/4". Single fullered blade marked at the ricasso, “HORSTATOR SOLINGEN”. Gilded brass hilt w/ crossed cannons on 1 languet. Knuckle bow & backstrap have highly embellished foliate & floral decoration. Class lion head pommel w/ red eyes. Plated scabbard. CONDITION: blade has substantial original factory polish. Hilt & scabbard show light wear. (02-15113/BF). $600-900.
