1) MODEL M95 MANNLICHER RIFLE. Cal. 8x56R. S# 13250. Bbl. 30 1/4". All visible serial numbers match, except buttstock, including electro penciled number on bolt. Receiver ring marked on top “STEYR M. 95”. Bbl. marked over chamber w/ “S” indicating bbl. was rebored from the original 8x50 cartridge to 8x56R. Bbl. has an original “17” date. Ladder rear sight graduated to 2600m. Inverted V front sight. Upper band retains stacking rod & bayonet lug. Bottom swivels. Walnut stock & handguard. CONDITION: stock set has arsenal rework type finish w/ scattered handling marks, dents & scratches throughout. Bayonet lug has finish removed by filing. Rear sight ladder has been polished bright to render numbers more visible. Metal retains 90% of arsenal rework blue finish. Very good, shiny bore w/ sharp rifling. (21-225/RW). 2) MODEL 95/30 MANNLICHER SHORT RIFLE. Cal. 8x56R. S# 8923. Bbl. 19 5/8". Receiver ring marked on top “STEYR M.95”. Bbl. marked over chamber w/ uppercase “S”, indicating conversion to 8x56R cartridge. All visible numbers match. Additionally marked w/ faint Austrian eagle, “W” & “O”. Ladder rear sight has had graduations removed above 2200m. Graduations are enhanced in white. Inverted V front sight. Upper band retains stacking rod & bayonet lug. Rifle fitted w/ side swivels. Walnut stock & handguard. CONDITION: stock set has arsenal rework finish w/ numerous dents, scratches & handling marks. Bayonet lug has finish removed by filing. Metal has arsenal rework finish retaining 95% blue. Receiver ring markings are faint. Bore turning dark w/ very fine pitting & lightly worn lands. (21-226/RW). BOTH CURIO. $600-900.
