PROJECTILES. 1) CONFEDERATE SELMA PATTERN 6 POUNDER. Unfired shell measures approx. .460" in diameter, 7 3/4" long. Copper driving band. CONDITION: shell has pitted oxidized appearance w/ heavy coat of preservative. 2) CONFEDERATE 20 POUNDER PARROT. Unfired shell was lathe turned during mfg. & has dimple in base. Tapered fuse hole in nose is unthreaded. Copper driving bands. CONDITION: shell has weathered pitted appearance w/ coating of preservative. 3) UNION 3" PARROT. Fired shell measures 2.86" diameter x 8 1/2" long. Threads in fuse hole are nearly intact. CONDITION: driving band shows distortion & rifling marks. Shell has weathered oxidized appearance w/ light coating of preservative. (02-15288-1/RW). $600-900.
