Cal. 45 ACP. S# M601A. Bbl. 10.5". A classic “Tommy Gun” in fantastic condition. Rich blue finish on all exposed metal surfaces offset w/ beautiful hardwood stocks. Above the horizontal handguard lies a smooth tapered bbl. which terminates at the familiar front blade sight. Sling swivels front & rear. The simple yet effective rear sight combines a fixed peep w/ a notch in its protected environment for fast target acquisition. Right side smooth cocking handle. The M1 utilizes the heavily produced 20 rd. & 30 rd. stick mag. Sling swivels front & rear. Receiver markings are as follows: (left side) “THOMPSON SUB MACHINE GUN – CALIBER 45 M1 – NO. M601A”; (Top) familiar Thompson trademark bullet logo; (Right side) “AUTO – ORDNANCE CORPORATION – WEST HURLEY, NEW YORK, U.S.A.”. MAGS: 1 bright blued 30 rd. w/ following markings: “AUTO – ORDNANCE CORP. – BRIDGEPORT, CONNECTICUT – REG. IN U.S. PATENT OFF.”. CONDITION: bluing on all exposed metal surfaces is complete & consistent. Rear stock exhibits only a few tiny light impressions a typical characteristic earned during storage. Forend & stock match very well while the pistol grip is a slightly darker shade. Bore is bright w/ strong rifling. Fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand.
