Manufactured in 1950. This beautiful shotgun features a 28" blued ventilated rib barrel with a nickel bead mid-barrel and red dot front sight. Chambered for 3" shells with Full choke. Engraved scroll pattern extends from the gold lined muzzle 1" on each side. Gold lettering on the barrel "WINCHESTER - MODEL 42 - 410 - 3IN. CHAM. - FULL". Gold inlaid Pigeon on the bottom of the barrel with gold matching serial numbers on barrel and receiver. Floral scroll design engraved on the barrel sleeve with gold lined border. Blued and coin finished receiver features 95% engraved coverage by Master engraver Angelo Bee. Left side features a coin finish scene of five gold inlaid game birds in flight in a field next to a farmhouse, surrounded by a gold line border. Left side forward features three gold inlaid game birds in a field also surrounded by a gold line border. The remainder is covered in a beautiful floral scroll design. Signed "A.BEE" just above the crossbolt safety. Right side features a similar design in a coin finish scene of five gold inlaid game birds in flight in a field next to a farmhouse, surrounded by a gold line border. Right side forward features two gold inlaid game birds in a field also surrounded by a gold line border. The remainder is covered in a beautiful floral scroll design. The top of the receiver features a gold inlaid woodcock in flight surrounded by a floral scroll design and a gold lined border as well. Nicely figured feather crotch walnut pistol grip stock with checkering on grip and fitted with a Winchester cap. Matching forearm with checkering. Fitted with a black Winchester logo checkered butt plate. LOP: 14". DAC: 1-1/2". DAH: 2-1/4". CALIBER: 410. S/N: 93739. FFL STATUS: Curio & Relic.
CONDITION
Retains 98%+ finish showing faint handling and action marks only. Stock and forearm are in great condition with sharp checkering showing light handling marks only. Nice bore and great mechanics.
