Manufactured in 1874. This professional refurbished rifle features a 24" octagon barrel with full length magazine tube, rear semi-buckhorn notch sight and Marble's blade front sight. Caliber is not marked but barrel gage indicates it is .44, buyer is recommended to have this checked with a professional gunsmith. Blued receiver with case-hardened lever, safety and hammer. Side loading gate and brass gate. Walnut straight grip stock with matching forearm. Fitted with a case-hardened crescent butt plate and forearm tip. LOP: 12-1/2". CALIBER: 44-40. S/N: 1705. FFL STATUS: Antique.
CONDITION
Retains 89% reapplied finish. Light oxidation spots on the top of the action near barrel. Small scuff in the finish above loading gate. A few faint scratches in the stock. case-hardened finish shows vibrant colors. Frosted bore and great mechanics.
