Made by Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1897. 26" blued octagon Winchester Steel barrel in 38-55 caliber with sheared blade front sight, Buckhorn rear sight, Winchester two line barrel address and "38-55" caliber marking. Blued solid frame action with plain trigger with full blued magazine too. Case-hardened crescent steel butt plate. Standard walnut forearm with blued nose cap. CALIBER: 38-55. S/N: 97322. FFL STATUS: Antique.
CONDITION
Metal has turned to a plum silvery appearance with carry areas worn the most. Case colors have faded to silver. Wood has dry oil-soaked appearance with usage dings and marks. Pitted bore with good mechanics. Rear sight has been filed with elevator missing.
