"Manufactured in 1898. Features a 28"" blued round barrel with factory rear notch sight, missing elevator, and nickel blade front sight. Rear left side of the barrel is stamped ""NICKEL STEEL BARREL / ESPECIALLY FOR SMOKELESS POWER"" and caliber ""303 BRITISH"" The left side of the receiver is stamped ""MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN, CONN U.S.A. / PATENTED NOV. 8. 95. NOVE. 12. 95. AUG. 17.97. JAN. 25.98. AUG 23.98. AUG 6. 1907"". Tang is stamped ""WINCHESTER / MODEL 1895"". Hand scribed on the right side of the receiver is the name ""Bob McKay"". Walnut straight stock capped with steel crescent butt plate. Walnut forearm with ebony inlaid Schnabel tip. LOP: 12-3/4". CALIBER: 303 BRITISH. S/N: 15341. FFL STATUS: Antique.
CONDITION
Retains 30%+ original finish with most turned to a gray and brown patina. Stock shows some dings and scratches. Light frosted bore and great mechanics.
