Beautiful 1959 Browning Superposed (Diana) Grade V 20 Gauge Shotgun Felix Funken Engraved
Made in 1959, this 20 gauge shotgun features 26-1/2" barrels with narrow ventilated rib with double beads. The top barrel is choked improved cylinder and bottom barrel is choked modified. Barrels are marked 2-3/4" and 3". Both barrels are equipped with automatic ejectors. The coin finished action is fully engraved by master engraver, Felix Funken, featuring floral designs and game scenes in deep relief. The left side of the receiver shows five pheasants in a woodland setting; the right side features four ducks in a woodland pond. The underside shows a pair of grouse in flight and a hare engraved on the trigger guard. Both the right and left sides of the receiver are signed Felix Funken. Double signed receivers are exceptionally rare. Receiver features a gold-plated single selective trigger and non-automatic safety. Forearm and butt stock feature 3X walnut; both with fine factory checkering with 22 lines per inch. The semi pistol grip butt stock has a round knob long tang. butt stock is finished with factory Browning hard black plastic butt plate. The shotgun is housed in a factory Browning hard case with owner's manual, instruction booklet, and envelope with keys to the case. LOP: 14-1/2". DAC: 1". DAH: 2". CALIBER: 20 GA. S/N: 14582. Barrels appear 98% plus as new with no appearance of having ever been fired. Receiver appears 98% plus overall condition with no appearance of having ever been fired. Wood is overall 98% plus showing no field use or handling marks. Case condition is excellent. Improvement in overall condition would be nearly non-existent.
