Manufactured in 1970 and custom built for Joseph Weitzman, a 5th Ave New York power attorney. Cody Museum factory letter dates the completion of this Custom Grade on November 19th, 1970. Features 28" blued solid matted rib barrels with 2-3/4" chambers. Right barrel with Modified choke and Full on the left. Blued No. 1 custom engraving pattern (found on page 54 of "Winchester Factory Engraving Collector's Guide" by Pauline Muerrle) features a floral scroll pattern on the sides, bottom, trigger guard and lever. Gold washed trigger and diamond cut water table with extractors. Nicely figured feather crotch walnut stock with hand-checkered pistol grip. Fitted with a blued steel pistol grip cap, brass oval inlay on the bottom, and red Winchester factory ventilated rubber recoil pad. Matching walnut beavertail style forearm with hand-checkering, ebony tip, and engraved blued latch. Comes in the original Winchester factory box. LOP: 13-1/2". DAC: 1-5/8". DAH: 2-1/2". CALIBER: 16 GA. S/N: W28708. FFL STATUS: Curio & Relic.
CONDITION
Retains 97%+ finish throughout, showing very light handling wear. Excellent bore and mechanics. Box does show wear from storage and handling.
