Cal. 45 ACP. S# 201686. Bbl. 5". Shipped Dec. 11, 1917 to Springfield Armory; 1200 units. All appropriate features for year w/ property mark on left side of dust cover. Proper slide markings including rampant Colt at left rear. “GHS” inspector mark plus provisional “H” on rear of slide & by disconnector; also has “I” & “G”. Type 4 bbl. w/ “5” in front of legs. Double diamond checkered walnut grips. Finish is Colt Brushed Blue. Safety & slide stop are checkered w/ milled undercuts. MAGS: good plus correct Colt 2 tone 7 rd. w/out lanyard loop. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 2015 dated factory letter. CONDITION: good to very good overall, appearance w/ occasional light marks to include 1 from improper slide stop installation. Holster like high point thinning; also on top front half of slide. Noticeable thinning in grip area w/ front strap somewhat shiny. Good to very good left grip w/ wear at butt & light marks on top diamond; similar right grip w/ more wear at butt & lighter appearance. Noticeably worn bbl. exterior; good bore w/ very light pitting & faint wear. (21-28/NW). CURIO. $1,500-2,200.
