Excellent 1978 Browning Citori Lightning Grade V 28 GA Over/Under Shotgun
Manufactured in 1978. Features 28" blued barrels with single nickel bead front sight on a matte ventilated rib. Chambered for 2-3/4" shells choked Full and Improved modified and equipped with automatic ejectors. The coin finished action has deep floral scroll engraving which extends to the break lever, trigger guard, tang, barrel breeches and forearm hardware. The right side of the action is engraved with a game scene of three ducks taking to flight from a wooded marsh, with the left side similarly engraved with three pheasants in a wooded field scene. The underside of the action is also engraved with a setter and a flushed pheasant, along with a quail in flight on the trigger guard. Select high grade checkered walnut pistol grip stock, skeet style forearm with a polished finish. Gold washed single selective trigger / tang safety. Fitted with a factory Browning textured black plastic butt plate. Includes non-matching box. LOP: 14". DAC: 1-1/2". DAH: 2". CALIBER: 28 GA. S/N: 08130RP573. FFL STATUS: Modern.
CONDITION
Excellent overall, retaining 98% plus original coin and blue finishes, with limited handling marks. Top barrel is turned a plum tone. Stock shows crisp checkering and faint handling marks. Excellent bore, unfired.
