Manufactured in Italy circa 1970's by A&S Famer/P. Constantine V. Gun was part of Frank Pachmayr's personal collection. Blued 29-1/4" O/U fluid steel barrels with Italian proofs and marked at breech with importer "Katsenescie Santa Monica-CA.". Right side of breech "P. Constantine V". Barrels fitted with low profile wide matted top ventilated rib with Lyman white bead front and mid sights. Barrels also have ejectors, 2-3/4" chambers and screw in chokes. Polished steel action with sideplates engraved by Aldo Rizzini and signed "Inc .Rizzini Aldo". Receiver is finely engraved with floral and vignette patterns surrounding a flying grouse on left panel and two flying quail on right panel. Flying duck engraving on the floor plate. Action is fitted with removeable, single non selective trigger with non automatic tang safety. Fine checkered European pistol grip stock with unmarked solid recoil pad. Grip has brass oval plaque inscribed "DONATED BY NAN AND FRANK PACHMAYR TO DUCKS UNLIMITED". Matching walnut checkered swell grip forearm with latch release. LOP: 14-1/4". DAC: 1-1/2". DAH: 2". CALIBER: 12 GA. S/N: 8598. FFL STATUS: Modern.
CONDITION
98% barrel blue with edge and assembly wear. Bright action finish with sharp engraving. 98% high gloss varnish with light handling wear and sharp checkering. Excellent bores and mechanics.
