MODELS (POLICE MARKED) P.38 SEMI-AUTO PISTOL. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 501. Bbl. 5". Mfg. Dec. 1942 out of 1st byf models using 1943 dated slides w/ eagle 135 plus matching numbers on frame, slide, bbl. & locking block. Slide has eagle party symbol w/ "L" indicating police use. Black bakelite grips. MAGS: 2 good blued 8 rd. TOTAL; w/ lower left of bodies marked "P.38" (base almost void of finish) plus eagle 135 & "P.38v" having eagle 359 on spine. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: very good black flap holster w/ staple & strap retention. Dbl. belt loops on back along w/ "P38", eagle party symbol over "WaA 86" & "bdr 43" (Richard Ehrhardt). CONDITION: very good appearance w/ light high point wear to include scratch on slide from safety operation. Very good grips. Slight thinning on front strap & sight cover on slide. Good to very good bore w/ some areas of faint cleaned pitting. Very scarce 1st series especially so w/ police marking. (20-3251/NW). CURIO. $3,000-5,000.
