Manufactured in 1902. Features a 30" blued barrel with three barrel rings, factory rear ladder adjustable sight and post blade front sight. Near full length magazine tube. The top of the barrel is stamped "WINCHESTER'S REPEATING ARMS, NEW HAVEN, CT / KING'S-IMPROVEMENT-PATENTED-MARCH 29, 1866. OCTOBER 16, 1860" and "44 WCF" stamped near the receiver. Third model receiver with dust cover, side loading gate, lever lock and the iconic brass follower. Tang is stamped ">MODEL 1873<". Walnut straight stock with steel butt plate with brass gate for field cleaning storage. Near full length wood musket style forearm. Equipped with factory sling rings. Factory letter indicates that it shipped from the factory as a musket model. LOP: 13". CALIBER: 44 WCF. S/N: 571500B. FFL STATUS: Curio & Relic.
CONDITION
Retains 90%+ original finish on barrel with light wear at the muzzle and on barrel rings. Receiver retains 60% finish with wear spots. Stock shows a few minor dings and a light initial etched "YJS" on the left side. Frosted bore and good mechanics.
