NICE Winchester Matched Set of One Thousand 94 & 9422M Deluxe Lever Action Rifles in Original Boxes
Manufactured in 1979, this matched set was the first two rifle commemorative set ever offered by Winchester . (1) Model 9422M chambered in .22 WIN Magnum, features a 20-1/2" blued round barrel with full length tubular magazine. Left side of the action features two beagles chasing a rabbit surrounded by an oak leaf design. Right side features two squirrels in a wooded scene surrounded by an oak leaf design. (2) Model 1894 chambered for .30-30 WIN, features a 24" blued barrel with full length tubular magazines. Left side of the action features two Whitetail bucks in rut and right side features a grizzly after dinner in a stream. Both scenes are surrounded by an oak leaf design. Both rifles are engraved on the right side of the barrel in gold lettering "MATCHED SET OF ONE THOUSAND". Both are equipped with nicely figured walnut straight stock with fleur-de-lis checkering, matching forearm with gold washed tip, and each fitted with a blued steel butt plate. Both come in the original factory Styrofoam cases with sleeves and factory shipping boxes. Includes a beautiful wood display case fitted for both rifles. CALIBER: 22 / 30-30 WIN. S/N: MR378 / MC378. FFL STATUS: Modern.
CONDITION
Both rifles retain 98%+ finish, showing only faint handling marks. The model 94 shows light crazing on the butt stock, and both show faint handling marks on the furniture. Unfired condition. Case in excellent condition. Boxes show light storage and handling wear.
