Manufactured in 1894, first year production for the model 1894. This nice rifle features a 26" blued octagon barrel with full length magazine. Period correct rear semi-buckhorn and front nickel blade sight. Period correct barrel stampings. Side loading gate action with case-hardened lever and hammer. Nicely figured walnut straight grip stock and matching forearm with blued forearm. Fitted with a steel crescent butt plate. LOP: 13". CALIBER: 38-55. S/N: 3355. FFL STATUS: Antique.
CONDITION
Retains 80% condition with some areas turning a brown patina. Case hardening still visible on lever and hammer. Stock shows several "clamp" marks near the top edge likely from a rack. Forearm has a 1 scribed on the left side and shows other light dings. Nice bore and great mechanics.
