Made by Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1908. Winchester 1892 Deluxe rifles are very desirable and hard to find in this condition with this many special order options. Rifle is fitted with special ordered blued Winchester Steel half octagon barrel in 25-20 Repeater caliber with Winchester two line address, Lyman combination Beech front sight, 22G rear sight and Lyman rear tang peep with disc cups. Blued takedown receiver with plain trigger and blued 1/2 magazine. Select Deluxe walnut checkered pistol grip stock with shotgun butt. Fitted with Winchester hard rubber Widow's Peak butt plate and Winchester grip cap. Matching checkered walnut forearm with blued forearm cap. Seven special order features, all confirmed with companion Cody Research Letter. CALIBER: 25-20 W.C.F. S/N: 299258. FFL STATUS: Curio & Relic.
CONDITION
Overall 98% original barrel blue with slight case wear at muzzle and some marks from disassembly near takedown lever. Action has 95% original blue with carry area wear. 98% original Piano Finish stock varnish with sharp original checkering. Butt plate is a replacement. Rifle has no visible restoration and is in super hard-to-find condition. Excellent bore and mechanics. A true collection quality gun.
