SINGLE SHOT TRAINING RIFLE BY WALTHER. Cal. 22 LR. S# 338S. Bbl. 26", military style fitted w/ tangent curve rear sight & pyramid front bead in short ribbed ramp. Left rear of bbl. stamped w/ caliber & nitro proofs. Blued action has Walther banner on receiver ring & model on top of rear portion. Large bodied bolt has flag safety & rnd. knob on turned down handle. Bottom metal is plain stamped steel. Military style stock w/ handguard is secured w/ military type bands; front w/ bayonet lug. Buttplate is steel & butt is cut for sling. A disassembly disk is also installed. CONDITION: metal retaining approx. 90% original blue w/ high edge wear & considerable loss to handle, bolt handle, which is turning brown. Stock slimmed & has most of a refinish w/ some light subsequent marks. Sharp, shiny bore. These relatively scarce training rifles are known to be exceptionally accurate. (21-1168/MGM).
