STOCK AND SCOUT RAIL. Cal. 308 Win. S# 310410. Bbl. 17 1/2" over muzzle brake. The SOCOM 16 is a shortened version of the legendary M1A battle rifle. Lighter in weight, more portable, & easier to field, it provides the ballistic superiority of the proven 7.62 NATO cartridge in a smaller, more manageable package. Black synthetic stock. Dark parkerized finish on all exposed metal surfaces. Trijicon front sight consisting of a protected blade & rear peep sight adj. for elevation & windage w/ 21" radius. Middle length of bbl., there is a 4" rail section which has become a popular mounting spot for scout type optics. At 6 o’clock on stock 2 1/2" rail section suitable for bipod or accessory mounting in front of front sling swivel, corresponding rear sling swivel at 6 o’clock on shoulder stock. Safety runs through center of trigger guard in traditional fashion. Right side reciprocating charging handle. Black nylon sling. MAGS: 2-20 rd. & 1-10 rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: factory box, Springfield trigger lock. CONDITION: finish coverage is complete & consistent w/ very little noticeable wear on areas other than those of mechanical intervention. Scope mount illustrates prior mountings. Stock free of any noticeable significant blemishing. Shiny bore w/ well pronounced rifling.
