Cal. 30-40 Krag. S# 5475. Bbl. 30". Receiver made w/ extended bolt seat. Fitted w/ Model 1896 rear sight, graduated to 1800yds. Blade front sight. Walnut stock & handguard. Stock is unmarked except for faint, encircled script “P” underneath grip. Smooth trap buttplate w/ curved toe. Stock has flared bolt handle recess. Cleaning rod cut filled w/ walnut. Model 1898 unmarked Krag sling w/ 1 brass hook & dbl. ended stud. CONDITION: stock set has been lightly cleaned w/ very light wear & handling marks. Handguard has sm. crack behind front, left rivet. Metal has 50% thinning blue & turning mottled gray on action parts. Very good, shiny bore w/ sharp lands. (01-17944/RW). ANTIQUE. $800-1,200.
