Manufactured in 1949. Two barrel set with matching serial numbers in gold lettering. First features a Skeet 30" blued barrel with ventilated rib and nickel md-bead mid and front sight. Chambered for 2-3/4" shells with gold lettered "FULL" choke. Bottom is marked "SKEET" in gold lettering. Second barrel is a 26" with ventilated rib and white bead mid and red bead front sight. Chambered for 2-3/4" shells with gold lettered "WS-1" choke. Both barrels feature Winchester proof marks in gold on barrel. Floral scroll engraving extends 1-1/4" from the gold lined muzzle and 3" from the receiver on both sides of each barrel. Magazine barrel clamp also has matching engraving with gold lined border on both. Gorgeous receiver features 95% engraved coverage by master engraver Angelo Bee, signed on the left side. Left side features a coin finish woodland game scene bordered in gold scroll with a gold embossed fox, rabbit and two grouse in flight. Surrounded with floral scroll design all bordered in gold. Right side features a coin finish woodland game scene bordered in a gold scroll with three gold embossed turkeys. All surrounded with floral scroll design and bordered in gold. Diamond cut bolt and lifter. Bottom of trigger guard features floral scroll engraving with a gold scroll border. Beautifully figured Winchester custom shop feather crotch walnut stock and forearms featuring factory B carving likely done by Edward Kaik. Hand-carved fleur-de-lis hand-checkering on the pistol grip and both forearms. Fitted with a factory Winchester pistol grip cap and a black lined brown rubber recoil pad. LOP: 13-3/4". DAC: 1-1/2". CONDITION
Retains 95% finish showing light handling wear. 26" barrel has turned a plum tone and shows light action marks. Stock and forearms are in excellent condition showing faint handling marks. Great bore and mechanics.
