Receiver marked on left side w/ Swiss cross "Waffenfabrik Bern" & "M78." Incorrect cleaning rod is present. Walnut stock set. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 18 1/2" single fullered blade w/ saw back. Blade marked on right ricasso "SJG NEUHAUSEN." Bayonet has crosshatch grooved composite grips. Bright metal leather scabbard w/ steel tips. Metal has wear, fine scratches & scattered peppery oxidation throughout. Pommel & cross guard have notable brown patina. Leather scabbard has flexing, scuffing & wear. Steel parts turning gray in patina. CONDITION: stock set has added lacquer coating as a preservative. Lacquer has scratches, flaking & scuffing throughout. Metal parts retain 80% original blue w/ light wear & scattered handling marks. Bore is turning dark w/ scattered pitting. (01-19375/RW) & (02-15293/RW). ANTIQUE. $700-900.
