RIFLE. Cal. 7.65 Belgian Mauser. S# G8394. Bbl. 30 3/4". All visible numbers match except cleaning rod. Receiver ring marked "FABRIQUE NATIONALE HERSTAL-LIEGE". Straight bolt handle. Ladder rear sight graduated to 1900m. Inverted "V" front sight. Cleaning rod & bayonet lug are present. Walnut stock marked only w/ S#. Buttplate marked on tang w/ "M" & "5264" in addition to matching S# at rear. CONDITION: stock set has added lacquer finish as a preservative over professional restoration which has obscured marking roundel on right side of butt. Finish has wear, flaking & scratches. Metal has 70% original blue finish w/ thinning & wear, turning gray. Bbl. jacket has several notable sm. dents on top between bbl. bands. Good bore w/ lightly worn lands. (01-19364/RW). ANTIQUE. $1,500-2,000.
