RIFLE. Cal. 8 x 56R. S# 4220 I. Bbl. 30 1/4". Rifle was mfg. in caliber 8 x 50R & later rebored to 8 x 56R. Receiver marked on top "Steyr M. 95." Bbl. marked on top over chamber w/ dbl. eagle & "15". Ladder rear sight graduated to 2600m. Inverted "V" front sight. Stacking bar & bayonet lug are present. Non matching hardwood stock set. CONDITION: stock has had professional type refinish obscuring any markings w/ light wear & handling marks w/ slight loss of wood in inletted areas. Receiver has been polished bright w/ light staining & scattered fine pitting. Bbl. has turned overall gray in patina. Bore turning dark, but w/ strong rifling. (21-1674/RW). CURIO. $400-600.
