Winchester Repeating Arms Company Big "W" cartridge board made in 1890 for major Winchester Sporting Goods Dealers. Board measures 38" x 50" with A.B. Frost hunting and game scenes. Board has all the shells loaded at the time and some which only existed on this board such as the 70-150 round. Board is known as the Big "W" due to the fact cartridges are laid out in a large "W" shape. Board has dark background with oak frame. Provenance: R.J. Plunkett Collection, Jack T. Livengood Collection.
CONDITION
Overall good with board needing a good professional cleaning with scenes hidden by years of exposure to dust and tobacco smoke. All rounds appear to be original and are intact. A nice out of the attic looking board.
