Manufactured in 1905. Features a 26" octagon barrel with button magazine tube, rear elevator notch sight and brass blade front sight. The top of the barrel flat is stamped "WINCHESTER'S REPEATING ARMS, NEW HAVEN, CT / KING'S-IMPROVEMENT-PATENTED-MARCH 29, 1866. OCTOBER 16, 1860". case-hardened receiver with dust cover, side loading gate, lever lock and the iconic brass follower. Tang is stamped "MODEL 1873 / -WINCHESTER- / TRADE MARK". Walnut straight stock and matching forearm with blued end cap. Fitted with a steel butt plate with brass gate for field cleaning storage. Includes factory quick check letter. LOP: 12-1/2". CALIBER: 38 CAL. S/N: 591209. FFL STATUS: Curio & Relic.
CONDITION
Retains 70% original finish with light wear on edges and some fading. Receiver has turned a brown patina in area. Hammer retaining most case color and some on the butt plate. Stock has few minor dings. Frosted bore and good mechanics.
