Manufactured in 1919. This sporting rifle features a 24" blued octagon barrel with original rear notch sight with elevator and blade front sight. Full length magazine tube with side loading gate. Barrel is stamped on the left flat with the two line Winchester address and "38 WCF" near the receiver. Winchester proof marks on barrel and receiver. Tang is stamped "MODEL 92 / -WINCHESTER- / TRADE MARK REG. US PAT OFF & FGN". Straight walnut wood stock with period correct metal crescent butt plate. Matching forearm with metal cap. LOP: 12-3/4". CALIBER: 38 WCF. S/N: 880325. FFL STATUS: Curio & Relic.
CONDITION
Barrel and tube retains 75% finish with some surface oxidation spots. Receiver and lever have turned to a brown patina and shows some scratches. butt plate has turned to a brown patina with oxidation spots. Stock shows some scratches and chips in the gloss. Light frost on the bore and great mechanics.
