Custom made in 1973 by Winchester Custom Shop for Susie Timken of Timken Bearings and also wife of the ambassador to Germany under George W. Bush's presidency. Gun was ordered through Abercrombie and Fitch of New York, New York in 1971. Gun is a Grand American Grade in 20 gauge, serial numbered W32999 with two sets of matching 26" barrels with factory ventilated ribs. Top rib is marked "Susie Timken" with both sets having metal bead mid and front sights. Both fitted with walnut skeet beavertail forearms with engraved roller latch. Both sets have 3" chambers and ejectors with barrels marked "Model 21/ Winchester / Made in New Haven, Conn". Barrel breeches are adorned with floral engraving. Barrel "1" is marked with a "1" on the lug and choked WS-1 and WS-2. Second barrel is marked with a "2" on the lug and forearm and choked Full and Modified. Both forearm woods have jeweled barrel flats and bores. Blued flat side action with 21-6 engraving with gold setter scene on left and gold pointer scene on right with full coverage vignette backgrounds. Bottom has two gold pheasants scene with vignette background. Gold washed single selective trigger with automatic safety. English style grip. Trigger guard is blued with vignette engraving with gold dog's head on center of bow. Select 21-B carved English straight grip stock with factory leather covered recoil pad and gold oval vanity plate. Comes in a fitted Abercrombie and Fitch tan leather maker labeled trunk case. Cody Research letter accompanying gun confirms all options. Weight is 6 lbs. 14oz. LOP: 13". DAH: 2-1/8". CALIBER: 20 GA. S/N: W32999. FFL STATUS: Curio & Relic.
CONDITION
Retains 98% overall original finish with light handling marks. Possibly test fired only. Mint bores and crisp mechanics. Case is in good condition with some light scuffs from handling and storage. Rare opportunity to own one of the best Model 21's!
